Bristle & Broom happened because I needed an easier way to find, hire, and train cleaners for my own house and for a rental property I own. I work remotely and needed a way (sometimes very quickly!) to find and hire a cleaner, explain what needed to be cleaned, and check the work from far away, often another time zone, or continent! So, I created Bristle and Broom, with the goal of having a hassle-free way to ensure your (and my!) property is impeccably cleaned at a fair price, no matter where you are when the cleaning needs to get done!

Thanks to Bristle and Broom, I have more time to do the things I love – spend with my family and friends, swim, dance, and adventure motorcycle ride throughout the world. And, yes, I still work full-time in the nonprofit fundraising job I had when I started Bristle and Broom!

About Kai…

I became interested in a cleaning business as a direct result of cleaning Airbnbs for several years and was having trouble as a cleaner in my community finding and working with homeowners. So, pairing with my mother who has rented various properties and was familiar with the other side of that professional relationship was a natural evolution. Our business has benefited from the understanding both of us bring to cleaning houses. These days, I no longer clean houses but work as a barista in Flagstaff and pursue a deep interest in coffee from sourcing, to roasting, to brewing a delicious cup. I am also pursuing my performing hobby through acting in community theatre, and I am looking to begin a stand up duo with a friend of mine. I’m so glad to have you interested in the community we’re building and the services we’re offering.
